We are continuing with a great season with a lot of wins! The girls are all progressing with their level of play. We are currently preparing for the Beach Grove tournament. The tournament will take place at Beach Grove Middle School and the 7th graders play at 9:00 and the 8th grade team plays at approximately 10:15. The 7th graders must be in the gym at 8:00 and the 8th grade team needs to be in the gym at 8:30. If there are any questions about the tournament please feel free to contact me.

Great start to the season!
We have had a great start to the 2011 season! Our 8th grade team is 3-0, 7th grade 2-1, and our 6th grade team will have their first game this evening. We have a great group of girls and each is finding her own job on her team. We are going to continue to learn and develop into a winning season!

First Game Against Northview
Our first game of the season was a success!
Our 7th grade team won their match in 3 games. All of the girls saw time on the court and each girl had an impact on the outcome of the match. We were especially proud of the serving throughout the game. We missed very few serves which helped keep the lead. We also had several overhand kills and great passing!
Our 8th grade team won their match in 2 games. Exceptional serving and passing helped us win our first match of the season. There were few missed serves and our passing allowed us to assist our hitters in putting the ball away!
We will play this Thursday at the Eagle's Nest against Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet. We will be working hard in practice tonight to be sure we are prepared.

Lets get it started!
We are starting our first full week of practice and I am very excited! Practices this week will be ending at 5:30, with an exception to Wednesday which will end at 5:00. The Middle School parent meeting will be this Thursday immediately following practice in the elementary gymnasium.
